Covid 19 Information

UPDATE 24/06/20

After an unsettled an anxious time for everybody, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their continued support and custom.  Although lockdown restrictions have been/will be eased drastically from the 4th July. I'd like to reaffirm your trust in Dudley & Roo by informing you of the following:

  • As usual, strict hygiene measures are still being implemented;
  • I am now receiving deliveries from my usual suppliers but each item is cleaned and goes through a polishing process;
  • I am still continuing to limit my mailing days to 2 times per week.

If you are at all unsure or want me to clarify anything at all before you place an order, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

UPDATE - 24/03/20

In light of the newer safety precautions outlined by the government, and after very careful thought, I have taken the decision to remain open, however I will not be making any more orders at this time or for the foreseeable future from my suppliers.  This means I will not be accepting any new deliveries to my workshop.

To reiterate - I work alone, I wear a mask, I sanitise my working area and have access to clean water and soap within my workshop to wash my hands and any necessary equipment.   All the materials I have in my workshop have been within my workshop now for 14 days or longer.

It has been suggested (but is not mandatory) that any parcels or post that is delivered be opened outside of your home and packaging discarded and then wash your hands, alternatively, to leave the parcel unopened in a safe place for a safe length of time before opening.

It's such a worrying time, I hope everybody is keeping well, staying at home and supporting local whenever it is safe and possible.

First thing’s first; I’d like to wish you and yours good health and positive thoughts at this uncertain time.

I want to reassure you that I am taking precautionary measures to keep my small business up and running.  At the moment, I’m working normally.  I work alone, I wear a mask usually anyway due to the nature of the work I do and I have the means to be able to wash my hands within my workshop as well as sanitise areas of use.

Ultimately, things are bound to change, however, right now, I have a fair amount of stock to be able to keep me going for a short while and my suppliers have informed me that they too, are still able to post out to me should I require.   That being said, I do not know what is around the corner.  If my suppliers or the Royal Mail cease trading or delay deliveries, it’s unfortunately beyond my control.

In the event that I, or any of my family, show symptoms of illness, I will be following the government guidelines and will close for the recommended period of time.  If your order is likely to be affected by this, I will of course contact you personally.

It’s an extremely anxious time for small businesses and I really do encourage you to shop small if you can.

Stay healthy, happy and look out for each other.
